General Meeting (May 2004) |
Date: 30th May 2004
Activity: Beach at Golden Coast
Have Sun Have Fun
Studied very hard for exam? Worked very hard for the summer job?
GM in May would be a very relaxing GM for you during these hard times.
Change to your shorts and scandals. Put on your hat and sunglasses.
We would go to the beach.
Weather is not stable that day, even with a little raining. But once we got-off the bus, the sun came out again to welcome us. We had a wonderful at the beach, singing Rotaract song and playing games together. We had dinner at a Japanese restaurant afterwards. The sushi there and the AC Milan football match that night were both not very good.
Longing for the last GM in June for the RI Year 2003-2004. See you there.

General Meeting (April 2004) |
Date: 17th April 2004
Activity: CSAA + Talk on Job Hunting
In April GM, we first had the last team from the Community Service Achievement Award presenting their project ideas. Afterwards, Adrian Tam, our dearest Rotarian and our Chairman of New Generation Committee in 2002/03 gave us an interview workshop.
Adrian pointed out what we should prepare and note about job-hunting and interview. He was so helpful and clarified many of our doubts. Erica also tried a mock interview with Adrian on the post of marketing executive of ****bucks. Erica did perform very well. (Wish Erica can get a great job in real life too)
After the GM, we had late dinner at ¡§Nam Shan Village¡¨. Cheap and scrumptious le~

General Meeting (March 2004) |
Date:20th March 2004
Activity:Talk + CSAA + Mentorship
We have watched many movies about life in jail. But are they picturing the reality? In this GM, we were glad to invite a guest Kalen from the Correctional Services Department. He took us look into the real life in the jail and corrected some of our misunderstanding towards jail. Want to go to jail? You can join the workforce of Correctional Services Department instead of committing crime.
Besides, we have 12 energetic kids from the Community Service Achievement Award to present their project ideas. Their presentations were wonderful and the Q&A session was very exciting. Members were judge of the presentations and we were all looking forward to the implementation of their service plan.
After GM, the kick-off dinner was held in ¡§Shing Hin¡¨ . Rotarian mentors and Rotaractor mentees met with each other. The mentors shared with us and taught us a lot. Let¡¦s date your mentor for dinner or go playing golf.

General Meeting (January 2004) |
Date:27 January 2004
Activity:Talk & Birthday Celebration
Happy New Year.
Wish you all the best in 2004. In the first GM this year, we enjoyed an exciting, inspiring and fascinating time together.
Exciting
Raymond was invited as our guest speaker to share with us his experience in paragliding. It is a new and exciting sport similar to parachutes. Wanna try? Wanna Fly?
Inspiring
Edward Tse, our dearest Rotarian and our Chairman of New Generation Committee this year, was another speaker in the GM. He shared many secrets of his life with us (he was the host in TV before with ¦¿§Æ¤å) and encouraged us to enjoy life. So inspiring.
Fascinating
We had lots of birthday stars in Jan and Feb. They are Amy, Eric, Ryan, Liam, Fiona, Albert and Simon. We had a fascinating birthday party with cake and gifts. Happy birthday to you all.

General Meeting (December 2003) |
Date: 23rd December 2003
Activity: BBQ
December is a special month: a month full of joy and happiness. It is because
Christmas is around us. All the people are preparing for the Christmas celebration.
Our club emphasizes on fellowship very much. We can't miss this good chance. We had
a special GM in Lai King. It is a barbeque! Sounds cool!
I love this GM very much. We had a guest speaker (no, actually, should be 3 guest
speakers because 2 of her friends also joined us) who is a policewoman. She shared
a lot with us. All of us seem to be the little children. We asked a lot of questions
(including some that are very silly). We learnt much that day!
We also played much during this GM. Besides the BBQ, exchanging gifts is inevitable
in the Christmas. We had 2 parts. The first part was exchanging the gifts bought by
our own. Silly Mike proposed a funny idea for the exchanging. It is very difficult to
tell how it works in words. You can ask me or the others directly. The second part is
a lucky draw. The gifts are prepared by our club. Oh my god! The largest prize for
boys and girls was also done by a very funny and exciting way. If you want to know,
do ask me!

General Meeting (November 2003) |
Date: 15th November 2003
Activity: Professional and Fellowship
November GM was a magical compound with fundamental Rotaract elements of fellowship,
professional development and personal development. The magic filled everyone's heart
with joy and warmth. In the three-hour GM, we first had our very-supportive Rotarian,
IPP Samson Tam, giving us a speech about Strategic management. As a strategic management
consultant, Samson said strategic management is something about doing the things right and
he also shared his recent case of a company with us. We learnt a lot from him.
We have Erica and Fiona to be our Stars of the month. We were all happy and broke out into
laughter, while listening their speeches and enjoying the refreshment at the same time. We
then have a game, followed by a discussion of Kwai Chung issues and Kwai Chung spirit. At
the end, we collected the "One person one wish", this year personal development project.
Let's support and motivate each other to achieve our goals.
The mixture of different Rotaract elements in the GM was quite welcomed by the members.
We would try our best to arrange a better GM for you next time. Come and join us.

General Meeting (October 2003) |
Date: 19th October 2003
Activity: Mass Game and BBQ
You know, there are a total of 28 Rotaract clubs (including provisional)
in the district 3450. Want to make friends with other Rotaractors??
Here it was. The October GM was a joint GM with the Rotaract Club
of Victoria and the Rotaract club of Kowloon West. Around 50
Rotaractors met at the Repulse Bay. We chatted. We ran. We shouted.
We laughed. We enjoyed to the utmost till sunset.
We had a BBQ dinner afterwards. Our Rotarian, IPP Samson Tam,
joined us with his family members. It was like a family
gathering and we had great FUN!
**We have kept the volleyball of friendship with the signature of
all the present Rotaractors. Let's play the volleyball friendship
some time later in our Sport Day.

General Meeting (September 2003) |
Date: 27th September 2003
Activity: Boat Trip
26th September is a memorable date for us. What is this wonderful day?
It is the birthday of our club. 26th September 2003 was our 1st
Anniversary Party. We had a boat trip for celebration. Rotarians,
our members, rotaractors of other clubs and our potential members
were invited to join. All of us had a good time on that day.
During the trip, we first had a brief GM, then a meaningful birthday
party. All of us became crazy. The craziest thing is that we jumped
into the sea from our ship which was 2-floor high. This was a challenging
task for most of us. More than half of us jumped into the sea and we
enjoyed swimming in the sea very much. In the evening, we walked and
played mass games on the beach. What's a nice day!
Birthday is very important to everyone, even to the club, too. We are
looking forward for the coming activities of our club. Kwai Chung is
the BEST!!

On 23/8 we held our second general meeting of this year. In this meeting we are
honoured to have DGE Mr. Alexander Mak to give us an inspiring talk on leadership,
and also President of our mother club, Ronnie Chui, to talk about his career path.
Starting at 3:15pm, the general meeting included reports from our President, speeches
by our guest speakers, and sharing by our three members: Billie, Cadmus and Carine. We
are also very glad to have quite a number of potential members joining our meeting this
time.
After the tea break, we had a session of Rotaract Information presented by Eric, our
membership development director. Then we moved on to a sharing session of HKIMUN 2003

General Meeting (July 2003) |
Date: 20th July 2003
Venue: Chung Mei, Tsing Yi
The July General Meeting was held in a private tutorial centre in Tsing Yi at about 4pm
that day. We had reports from our President, Kenix and Treasurer, Cadmus. From this GM
onwards, we introduced a new session, "sharing by Rotaractors", in which we will have two
to three members to give us a speech for 5-10 mins. We hope that by adding this session
the members can get to know more about each other.
In this GM, we also had Diane, our Immediate Past President, to share with us her
experience of joining the Rotary Pre-convention in Australia earlier this year. The
GM ended at about 6pm and we had dinner together afterwards.
