Teambuilding Training at the Macau Tower

On 27/06/2004 a teambuilding training was organized at the Macau Tower. Activities in the training included: Pass the Ball, Falling Exercises, Wall Climbing, Bungy Trampoline, IronWalk, Flying Fox and SkyWalk X.

New Generations Conference

On 12/06/2004 the 4 Rotaract Clubs of Macau organized the New Generations Conference. Commissioner Cheong U of the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) was invited to be the speaker at this conference.

June Monthly Meeting

Our June Monthly Meeting was held on 11/06/2004. That night President Mildred and IPP Patrick shared with us their experiences at the  95th Annual RI Convention in Osaka.

This was also the last monthly meeting to be presided by President Mildred.

Visit to CEM Power Plant in Coloane

On 29/05/2004 we visited the CEM Power Plant in Coloane during their Open Day which was one of their programs for their 100th Anniversary Celebrations.

95th Annual RI Convention in Osaka

President Mildred and Immediate Past President Patrick attended the 95th Annual RI Convention, which was held from May 23 to 26 in Osaka, Japan. Prior to the Convention, President Mildred joined a cultural exchange team with some Rotaract Clubs in Hong Kong to Tokushima, Japan.

44th District Assembly

The first joint District Assembly of Rotary and Rotaract Clubs took place on May 8 in Hong Kong. President Mildred and the new board members attended the Assembly. President Mildred was also invited to be the moderator for the Break-out Session for the incoming International Service Directors.

Visit to CCAC

The New Generations Conference, which is co-organized by the four Rotaract Clubs in Macau, will take place on June 12. Commissioner Cheong U of CCAC has been invited to be the keynote speaker. On May 7, Conference Chairperson PP Joao Leao and the four Presidents of Rotaract Clubs visited Commissioner Cheong U to discuss the preparation of the Conference.

On 14/05/2004, our mother club, the Rotary Club of Macau, organized their Annual Ball at the Macau Tower. Our members also attended the Annual Ball and helped out with some of its activities.

April Monthly Meeting

Our April Monthly Meeting was held on 02/04/2004 at the Ritz Hotel. That night Ms O Hok Wai, Acting Chief of Promotion and Data Dissemination of Statistics and Census Service was our guest speaker. She spoke on the topic of Statistics and Census service in Macau.

Rotaract PETS 2004-05

The Rotaract PETS 2004-05 (Presidents-Elect Training Seminar) was organized at the University of Hong Kong on 28/03/2004 and members of the incoming board of our club attended this seminar. At this seminar our Mother Club President Synthia Chan and our Rotaract President Mildred Hoi was also invited by the District Rotaract Committee to be the resource persons for the Break-out Session for community base Rotaract Clubs.

Golf Day

A golf day was organized as a club service activity on Sunday 21/03/2004 at the Macau Jockey Club Mini Golf Course. Our members learnt how to play golf as well as practise our golf swings. As some members had brought their family members with them, it was also a Rotary family activity.

March Monthly Meeting

Our March Monthly Meeting was held on 05/03/2004. This month 10 new members were inducted into our club. During our monthly meeting we were also presented with an interesting and enlightening talk on Customer Relationship Management from Professor Francis Piron.

Shooting Competition in Zhuhai

On 22/02/2004, a shooting competition was held at the Zhuhai Shooting Hall as a club service activity. The members also enjoyed a fellowship lunch after the competition.

Experience Sharing with Goodwill Ambassadors

The goodwill ambassadors came to our January 2004 monthly meeting at the Ritz Hotel and shared with us their experiences during their delegation on the Goodwill Ambassador to Malaysia Program. Our members learnt a lot from their experiences and we also shared a night of fellowship.

Goodwill Ambassador Program to Malaysia

Subsidized by the Education and Youth Affairs Department, the Goodwill Ambassador to Malaysia is a rewarding program organized by the Rotaract Club of Macau. Led by the Rotaractors, a team of four people between the ages of 18 – 26 were chosen to go to Malaysia for a period of 5 days to learn more about the local culture. The  Rotary/Rotaract Clubs in Malaysia also organizde guided tours to the local tourist and cultural attractions. Apart from improving their knowledge of Malaysia by visiting firms, schools, factories, offices and national organizations, the team also served as goodwill ambassadors of Macau which resulted in long-lasting friendships.
