President Emily Wu presented the President Reports - Annual Ball of Rotary Club of Macau; New Generation Conference, RI Centennial Convention in Chicago and APRRC. As well as, it was honored to invite HKSWEA to share a meaningful topic ¡V Mind Reconstruction, regarding the volunteers visited to Bangkok, one of Tsunami disaster areas. Afterwards, the birthday celebrations for Ms. Fanny O and Ms. Sandy Chan.

2005/04/23 Cultural Trip To HK - Museums And Cross Road

Total 18 potential and existing members from our Club had joined with HKIE members to have a Historical and Cultural Trip to Hong Kong. We visited to HK Museum of History and HK Museum of Art, furthermore, we also had a site visit to Cross Roads International - "Where Need Meets Resource", which was a non profit corporation took HK¡¦s quality superseded goods and redistributed them to people in need, locally and internationally. Besides the staff on duty delivered a briefing and explained the workflow deeply, it was a chance we provided a one-hour community service to them. So meaningful trip it was!

Rotaractors of our Twin Club, Rotaract Club of Pudu, RI District 3300 visited Macau, sowing the seeds of friendship everywhere they went: H?As Beach, Macao Tower or even the Macau International Airport. They also joined the "house painting for elderly" organised by Rotary Club of Macau on 23 Jan 2005.

Representative of Macau Kumon Educational Centre introduced us the Kumon Method. Founded in 1958 in Japan, it is devoted to initializing Individualized Learning to children in order to develop their potentials and cultivate life skills.

Rock Wall Climbing and Barbecue

To challenge our members, the club went for rock wall climbing and barbecue in Taipa. Certainly it was a good choice to eat then climb in the afternoon; it was another good idea to climb then eat as well! Finally everyone faced with their challenge and return home with aching muscles in the evening!

Visit to Du-An in Guang Xi

This trip was held between 21 -24 October. President Emily and some members visited GuangXi students with Rotary club of Macau, Rotary club of Kowloon North, HK Poly U, Macau Dental Association. The purposes of this trip are inauguaration of Rotary international Long Zhong Primary School; Site inspection of the Middle school; Health check up to be carried out by HK PolyU; Dental health check up and assessment by Macau Dental Association and Donation of reference books for Guang Xi students by Rotaract club of Macau.

Day tour to Zhuhai

18 members went to Zhuhai on 19 Sept. They visit a bee yard and enjoyed themselves in the Amazon Tribe, a theme park about the famous river, rainforest as well as the tribes living there for centuries.

Goodwill Ambassador to Japan ¡V Oral Presentation on 29 Aug 2004

After face-to-face interview, finalists of ¡§Goodwill Ambassadors to Japan¡¨ present their idea of ¡§Macau as a City of Culture¡¨ orally in English on 29 August 2004 at Macao Forum ¡V Youth Activity Centre. Led by members of Rotaract Club of Macau, the winning team, Cheong Iat Fan, Esther Kou, Wong Iok In and Poulin Wong will go to Japan between 24 ¡V 29 September 2004 to promote Macau.

After the APRRC, visiting Rotaractors included the following:
¡D9 August 2004 - President Tiffany, Efan, Joe and Vivian of Rotaract Club of Taipei South Sea, RI District 3520 (Taiwan).
¡D13-16 August 2004 - Tracy, Professional Development Director of our Twin Club, Rotaract Club of Pudu, RI District 3300 (Malaysia).
They sampled the unique east-meets-west culture through fellowship, sight seeing, and eating.

August Monthly Meeting

To begin a new Rotaract year, President Emily chaired the meeting on 13 August 2004. VP Patrick shared with us the experiences at the Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference in Hong Kong with several conference participants of our Club. Two new members, Cyrus and Victor were inducted.

Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference , Hong Kong and Twin Club Agreement Signing with Rotaract Club of Pudu, RI District 3300 (Malaysia)

APPRC was held between 5 to 8 August, 2004 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In addition to plenary sessions and discussion workshops, Guest speaker, Mr. John Chu of Centro Digital Pictures Limited, an internationally renowned leader in film visual effects brought the participants to his studio at the ultra-modern Cyberport. To celebrate Rotary 100 years, President Emily signed a Twin Club Agreement with President Weiseong Tan of Rotaract Club of Pudu, RI District 3300 (Malaysia) at the conference with the presence of our District Governor Alexander Mak and Past District Governor Dr Paul C.K. Lee, RI District 3300 (Malaysia).

Rotaract District Committee, District Installation 2004/2005

IPP Mildred and PP Patrick attended the Installation of the Rotaract District Committee on July 3 in Hong Kong.  PP Patrick has been assigned to be the DDRR of Macau in the Rotaract District Committee, whereas IPP Mildred has moved on to Rotary and serves as Committee Member in the District Rotaract Committee.  Besides receiving the Presidential Citation in recognition of our commitment to alleviating poverty, promoting peace, and our support of the Family of Rotary through Rotary Service, our Club also won the District¡¦s Outstanding Project Award for International Service Project with our ¡§Goodwill Ambassador to Malaysia¡¨ project held in 2003-04 Rotary year.

Our Installation Ceremony with our Mother Club

Our Installation Ceremony was held on 24/06/2004 at the Macau Landmark together with our Mother Club - the Rotary Club of Macau. That night Emily Wu was inducted as the new president.
